Things We Can't Live Without

Our Seattle interns at allrecipes.com hold up their items they can't live without.

Robin Lee (back left): Nutella-"What’s not to love about Nutella? Spread it on toast, dip strawberries, crepes with nutella and bananas, eat it straight of the jar with a spoon… the possibilities are endless!"

Emily Hudson (back middle): Vogue
-"I can’t live without Vogue because I agree with the experts: “Fashion is the only attempt to realize art in living forms. This is how I justify going way overboard as a shopping fanatic :)."

Leo Yuan (back right)- Yoplait Strawberry Yogurt-"Strawberry is tasty and yogurt makes my afternoon much more relaxed!"

Jordan Taylor (front left)- Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Popcorn- "The reason I love this is because it is a healthy snack, but even though it is healthy, most everyone LOVES popcorn, and it is usually a snack you bring out when hanging out with friends, family, or while watching movies! Or both! Basically it combines all great things!"

Jennifer Lee (front right)- Clorox Wipes-"I can’t live without Clorox Wipes because they are the best for disinfecting in-between deep cleanings and smell great too. Basically… less time needed for clean-up = More time with family and friends… or more EATING AND COOKING!"

EDWRR Intern Cooking Demo

Intern Cooking Demo: "Cereal S'more Smoothie" from RDA Interns on Vimeo.

Everyday with Rachael Ray marketing intern Rikki Schecter joins our intrepid intern Robert Guliano in a cooking demonstration at the New York City offices of EDWRR. On the menu? A "Cereal S'more Smoothie."

Aside from the after taste that proved to be the office's leading cause of halitosis, the smoothie tasted excellent. The only problem was its appalling appearance. That is precisely why we brought in EDWRR Photo Intern Mary Fama to turn our messy mixture into a classy creation.

RD Cares Reception

RD Cares Reception from RDA Interns on Vimeo.

On the final day of June, RDA held its RD cares volunteer recognition reception at the guest house. CEO Mary Berner shared a few thoughts and program director Susan Russ thanked the employees in attendance for their service throughout the year.

The afternoon was highlighted by a tremendous dinner spread that included shrimp, crab cakes, peanut chicken, and fresh fruit. Needless to say, as a starving intern, I spent the majority of the reception circling the food display ravenously. However, when I wasn't gnawing on chicken or engulfing strawberries, I was able to catch up with a few employee volunteers and get to know what RD cares is all about.

Global Team Meeting

Global Team Meeting from RDA Interns on Vimeo.

On June 23, CEO Mary Berner held the Global Team Meeting at DeWitt Wallace auditorium. The speech was streamed live to RDA locations across the globe.

Mary stressed a feeling of optimism about the company's future proclaiming that RDA is "walking down a different street." She told employees that they will determine how quickly new business ventures will arise and begin accumulating revenue. She also guaranteed transparency and communication within RDA from top to bottom.

Intern Robert Guliano was there to hear Mary talk about several things from the direction of the company to her childhood encounters with nuns.

RDA Employees Begin Move To White Plains

RDA Employees Begin Move To White Plains from RDA Interns on Vimeo.

The first wave of RDA employees moved in to the new White Plains offices on June 21. The transition received rave reviews. Perhaps most prevalent was the spectacular view from the 18th floor of Westchester One. However, the view didn't seem to be quite as spectacular as the coffee because the office ran dry by 10 a.m.

RDA intern Robert Guliano was there for what proved to be an eventful morning in White Plains that had everything from a coffee shortage to a missing intern lost in a White Plains mall. The intern's name? Well, it wasn't Waldo.
